Office-Based Surgical Procedures
When all nonsurgical treatment options have failed, we look to surgery as the definitive treatment plan. We offer simple office-based surgical procedures to ensure that several of your foot and ankle concerns are addressed.

Albuquerque Heel and Foot Pain Center
Plantar Fasciitis is the most common cause of Heel and Foot Pain and often results in pain during weightbearing. It is important to seek care at the onset of pain in order to identify and address the primary cause rather than waiting for it to become worse.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
PAD is a narrowing of blood vessels, due to plaque buildup or “hardening of arteries.” This decreases blood flow to the legs and feet. If left untreated, it can result in infection, gangrene, and amputation. Call us today for office consultation and in-office blood flow (PAD) screening.

Bunion Treatment
A Bunion is a bump on the inside aspect of the big toe joint. It is usually caused by
a misalignment of the bones in this part of the foot.

Diabetic Foot Care
Diabetes can damage the nerves of the feet, leading to burning, tingling, pain, and numbness sometimes resulting in balance issues, ulcers, and infection. If you or a loved one has Diabetes, call us today for an office consultation. You will be glad you did.

Foot and Ankle Wound Care
Not all wounds are created equal. It is important to determine the underlying cause of a wound being treated. Dr. Chess uses Stem cell therapy to treat some of the most hard to heal wounds to improve the healing process.

Amputation Prevention Program
Our protocols can dramatically reduce lower extremity amputation in individuals with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Diabetes, or any condition that results in decreased protective sensation in the feet.

Foot and Ankle Trauma
The foot and ankle is a complex system, providing a stable foundation. Trauma to this system, if left untreated, can lead to other issues.

Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging
We use ultrasound imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of many foot and ankle conditions- including but not limited to tendon and ligament tears or ruptures, soft tissue mass or tumors.

Foot and Ankle Surgery
We provide our patients a thorough understanding of their surgical and non-surgical options. If surgery is recommended, Dr. Chess will discuss and offer an individualized treatment plan.

Hammertoe
Hammertoes are caused by muscle imbalances in the toe. Ligaments and tendons of the toe are tightened, which causes the joint to buckle and appear slightly deformed.

Ingrown Toenails
Ingrown nails occur when one or both corners/sides of the toenail dig(s) painfully into the fleshy part of the toe or nail groove often leading to pain, redness, swelling, and sometimes infection when bacteria starts to grow inside the skin break created by the ingrown nail.

Neuroma
A neuroma is a painful condition, also referred to as a “pinched nerve” or a nerve tumor. It is a benign growth of nerve tissue most commonly found between the third and fourth toes, but can occur anywhere in the foot.

Plantar Warts
Plantar Warts are one of several skin conditions of the foot that can be quite painful. They are caused by a virus and can appear anywhere on the skin. If left untreated, they can grow in size and spread into several warts. It is wise to seek professional care if one is affected. If this is you, call us today for an office consultation. You will be glad you did.

Pediatric Foot & Ankle
We are skilled in pediatric foot and ankle care and we are committed to doing our best to help them be at ease during their office visit.

Orthotics and Braces
Are you tired of your feet hurting? Proper orthotics and bracing can put your foot in proper alignment to help it function better. Call us today for an office consultation to see if an orthotic or bracing is right for you.
